Displaying the variables available to a template
Add the following tag to a template file:
{debug}When the page is reloaded the Smarty Debug Console will be displayed showing the variables assigned to the page.

Don't forget to turn "Block pop-up windows" off in your browser as {debug} opens a pop-up window.
