"Events" via JSON API?

Is it possible to pull data about "Events" through the API?

Our client utilises this functionality and we're investigating whether we can construct a gallery of Events on our website.

Cheers

Re: "Events" via JSON API?

Hi Olly,

The API doesn't as yet feature methods to allow you to inspect or edit events. I'm not sure if it helps but we do have some notes regarding integration of events with external websites in another section in our documentation:

https://www.thirdlight.com/docs/display … +of+Events
https://www.thirdlight.com/docs/display … o+An+Event

These links can be found in the 'Forms, JavaScript and HTML Integration' section:
https://www.thirdlight.com/docs/display … ntegration

Best Regards,
Steve

Re: "Events" via JSON API?

Hi Steve,

A follow up question:

Can we alter the thirdlight templates for Events independently of the other photo views?

Cheers

Re: "Events" via JSON API?

Hi Olly,

The display views are shared betwen events and normal user contexts so the template code is common to both meaning that you can't change them independently.

The good news is that you can create multiple themes i.e. multiple sets of templates that can indvidually be assigned to separate events or user accounts.

You can create a new theme from the Configuration > Themes and Languages page using the 'Create Theme' button. The yellow folder with a blue tick icon will take you to a page where you can make the assingments of the theme to whichever events (or users) you wish to use it.

Best Regards,
Steve

Re: "Events" via JSON API?

Thanks Steve. Yep, customising a secondary template for Events sounds like the route we'll go down. Thanks for your assistance.
