Ecommerce
Hi friends I was looking for support of Ecommerce here. I'm interested in getting ThirdLight but my biggest concern is that it must have Ecommerce capabilities.
The support team said it was changing the template. And referred me here. Any thoughts?

Hi,
We used to sell a built-in e-commerce solution but are not offering that any more. Unfortunately it's not something that you can turn on in the templates. To enable e-commerce within Third Light right now would involve some fairly extensive template customisations and very probably some middleware to interface between assets in Third Light IMS and whichever checkout system and product supplier you are wishing to target. In fact if I were to do it, I would probably create (or use off-the-shelf) a completely separate e-commerce site that extracts information from Third Light via the JSON API, and not touch the templates at all. It would be a pretty involved piece of work.
So, in short, it would be possible to use Third Light IMS as the source for e-commerce but I would strongly recommend you look around for other providers that specialise in this area.
