Hi again Marcelo,
Just another thought to say if you use the 'service account' user in general (instead of space level API keys), you could avoid the issues with the latter altogether. Space API Keys are still useful for our CMS Browser and other read-only tasks but for your situation a service account user is likely to be the better mechanism.

Hi Steve,
So you think it would be better to use only the service account API keys for everything across all environments?
By environment I mean a space btw. Each environment we are currently setting up will have a sub-space inside of a general project space.

Hi Marcelo,
I don't know enough about the specifics of your project to make a call on whether a single service account would be okay or whether you have a scenario where isolation between spaces is required but judging from what we have seen with other integrators, a single service account is usually enough.
